DC '15 - Audition Information - Part 3

Auditions are right around the corner! You don't have to audition to participate in camp, but all are welcome to audition!

I've included the cast list again with the number of lines that each cast member has. This is not necessarily the number of sentences but might be called speaking paragraphs. AND, this is as originally written...we may be breaking several of the parts into 2+ characters depending on how many kiddos we have audition.

The Star Factor Cast (# of speaking paragraphs)
Monique (37): Leader at Camp Heart and Soul
Noah (9): Drummer
Megan (14): Dancer
Clare (22): plays the clarinet
Tiffany "T" (15): plays the violin
Zach (10): Sound Tech
Judah (14): Rapper
Bricklebee (55): The Star Factor's "celebrity" coach
Sami (11): Poet
Caitlyn (11): Painter

There are also six 1-line parts

Non-Speaking Cast
Emma: Bricklebee's assistant
TV Camera Operators

 Solos/Duets/Trios
 Each song (except 'Camp Heart and Soul') has at least one solo.  We may make 'solos' into duets/trios if needed.

Audition Day
Wednesday, July 1st at 9:30 in the Sanctuary

We will have a form for you to fill out with your name/age/grade and your top 3 choices of solos/speaking parts.  We will have copies of the script that we will use for the auditions (see here) or you can bring your own copy if you've printed it out.  We will also have copies of the Lyrics for the audition songs.

DC '15 Registration: June 29 - July 2

Here's the registration schedule for the week. I will be at the church during these times, but to guarantee that I hear you when you arrive, send me an email or give me a call to let me know when you are coming. (bgregory@cornerstoneplano.org or 972-712-4000 ext 16)😃

Monday - 11:30-4:00
Tuesday - 9:30-3:00
Wednesday - 9:30-10:30; 1:30-3:00
Thursday - 12:00-5:00

 

DC '15 - Audtion Information - Part 2

Cast
Click here for the scene that we will use for auditions.  The kids can read for specific parts during auditions.  Some of the parts can be played by either a boy or a girl...we would just change some of the names/pronouns in the script.  If you missed the cast list, you can find it here.

Solos/Duets/Ensembles

The songs that will be used during auditions are "Whatever You Do" and "Treasure."

DC '15 Registration: June 15-18; 23-24

Upstairs on the playground side
Monday, June 15 -- 10:30-4:30
Tuesday, June 16-- 10:30-3:00
Wednesday, June 17 -- 10:30-3:45
Thursday, June 18 -- 10:00-12:00

Downstairs: knock on the glass doors
(Please don't go to the side doors, or you may wake a sleeping baby.  I will be on vacation, but you can register during our Mother's Day Out.)
Tuesday, June 23 -- 9:30-1:30
Wednesday, June 24 -- 9:30-1:30

Registration Form: Click here.  You can choose to print one out before coming to register, but it is not necessary as there are forms available.

Auditions are on July 1st -- so if your child wants an acting/singing part, it helps for them to have the CD before auditions (though it isn't absolutely necessary).

Drama Camp 2015

Registration will begin Monday, June 8th!  You will need to come by the church to register and pick up the CD for the musical.  Registration forms will be available when you come by.

The registration schedule for the week of June 8-11 is as follows:

Monday -- 9:30 - 5:00

Tuesday -- not available 

Wednesday -- 9:30 - 3:45

Thursday -- 2:00 - 5:00

I will update the registration schedule each week so check back regularly.

Drama Camp Registration

The plan was to open registration Tuesday, June 2nd, but the CDs are still not in...so now I'm hoping for Wednesday.
